Meditation Ritual with Candle
Light a large, white candle and sit in front of it, in any position you feel comfortable.
Breathe deep; fill your lungs with air. Release. Repeat this seven times.
Look into the candle flame and clear your mind.
Take another three breaths.
Hum lightly. Focus on looking at the candle flame. If looking directly into the flame hurts your eyes, look slightly below it.
Keep humming.
Eventually, little by little, you should feel your body relaxing. Following this release of physical tension, you should begin experiencing a trance state. Some have described this as a very relaxed state, a hypnotic state, or a feeling of floating free.
Once you have reached this trance, or relaxed state of mind, you are ready to proceed with your energy work.
