Meditation
Imagine that with each breath you take in, you are breathing in a soft, golden, radiant light.
You can think of this light as real * life energy * or imaginary, whichever you prefer.
With each breath in, imagine that this light is filling your body.
With each breath out, imagine tension flowing away.
With your next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling the region of your head.
With your next few breaths out, imagine all of the tension releasing from your scalp, face, and jaw. As you continue to breathe out, imagine your jaw loose and relaxed.
Imagine the space between your eyebrows growing wider. Imagine all the muscles of your neck relaxing.
Now with the next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your back. As you exhale, imagine all the tension flowing away from back and your back becoming warm and relaxed.
Now with the next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your left arm. And, as you exhale, imagine any tension flowing away out through the fingertips of your left hand.
Now with the next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your right arm. And, as you exhale, imagine any tension flowing away out through the fingertips of your right hand.
With your next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your abdomen. Now, as you breathe out, imagine all the tension flowing away from your abdominal region, your abdominal wall relaxing.
Now, with the next breath in, imagine radiant light filling your pelvis with its soft golden radiance. This time as you breathe out, imagine the tension flowing away through your pelvic floor, feeling the pelvic floor muscles become relaxed and limp.
Now with the next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your left leg. And, as you exhale, imagine any tension flowing away out through the sole of your left foot.
Now with the next breath in, imagine the radiant light filling your right leg. And, as you exhale, imagine any tension flowing away out through the sole of your right foot.
Now gently bring your attention back to your head. With the next few breathes in and out, imagine the radiant light sweeping down and up your body from your head to your toes.
Dwell on this image for as long as you like.
Then, when you are ready to return your everyday life, count slowly to give, stretch gently and open your eyes.
