Exploring the Oceans
Begin your meditation as you usually would.
You are standing on a warm sandy beach. The ocean waves roll in towards you, caressing the sand at your feet. Far out in the ocean you see the water spouts of whales as they frolic in deep water.
There is a yearning inside you to join these mighty creatures of the deep. You walk out into the waves, knowing you will be safe, that breathing under water will not harm you. Quickly you swim out to the whales and float beside them.
A huge whale comes close to you, brushes against you playfully. You run your hands down its side and look into its intelligent eye. Echoing through the water is a strange singing sound, the voices of the whales. Joy fills you as you realize you can communicate with these great beasts.
You float onto the whale's back and cling there as it moves off through the dark waters. Soon you and your guide are moving silently through the ruins of ancient Lemuria and then Atlantis. By your thoughts you can tell the whale where you want to go and what you want to see in these drowned cities. If you get off to explore a building, the whale will wait for you.
When you are finished with your explorations, the whale carries you back to your sandy beach. As you say farewell to your friend, it sings you its song. You swim back to the beach and walk up the sand. When you turn once more towards the ocean, the whale sends up a spout of water and disappears under the waves. You think of your physical body and slide easily back into it.
