A Spell for Prophetic Dreams
A simple yet effective spell, the main caveat is to be sure you extinguish the candles prior to falling asleep. Prepare your bedroom prior to working the spell. Dab a bit of jasmine oil on your pillow. Place a notepad and pen on the bedside table so you can record your dream upon waking. Brew a cup of mugwort tea and place it on your altar. You will need two light blue candles and some Damiana to smolder or smoke.
Light the altar candles, a circle is not necessary. Light the pale blue candles on your altar. Either burn the Damiana on coals as incense or smoke it. Go with the feeling induced by the Damiana, let it carry you away a bit. You want to cultivate a trance-like state. State the purpose of the spell clearly and what you hope to achieve, for example:
God and Goddess, let me see,
things that in my future be.
Shine a spotlight, cast a beam,
on my true future in my dream.
What will happen, all you know,
Clearly, now I ask you, to show.
Sip the tea as you chant the words. Gaze at the curls of smoke, inhale the scent of the damiana. When you feel ready to sleep say "As my will, so mote it be" and blow out the candles. Go to bed and sleep. When you wake write down what you recall of your dreams right away.
