Protection Charm
Materials:
- One red candle and one white candle
- A small piece of white paper
- protection oil (pre-made or homemade)*
- ink pen
- red ribbon
Building and Charging the Charm:
Cast a Circle, if you wish.
Use the lighted white candle to represent the Goddess.
Use the lighted red candle to represent the God.
Place your charm materials in-between the two candles.
Using the protection oil, draw a pentagram in the middle of the paper while saying "With the seal of this pentagram I request this charm be used for protection."
Using a pen, in the center of the oil-drawn pentagram, draw the rune Algiz, the rune of protection. Say "With this rune, Algiz, I request this charm be used for protection."
Concentrate on the Rune and it's meaning, then ask aloud for what you want. To seal those energies into the charm, roll the paer up tightly, lengthwise, then wrap it three times with the red ribbon and fasten it by tying a bow.
Hold the charm over the red candle saying, "I consecrate this charm by fire, that I may be protected from any harm."
Pass the charm thru the smoke of the white candle, saying "I consecrate this charm by air, that I may be protected from any harm."
Tightly clasp the charm in both hands, the right hand around the charm ad the left hand over the right. Concentrate once again on the charm's task.
Seal the left end of the charm with white wax from the Goddess candle, and the right end with red wax from the God candle.
Close the Circle (if you earlier cast one).
