The Chakras
Root Center - Black/Red
Associated with physical existence, physical creativity, and survival. Fears and lack of energy can show up here. It is associated with the reproductive organs.
Abdominal Center - Orange
Associated with the transformation of lower vibrational energy into the higher types of energy. If blocked, the ability to balance the life will be involved.
Solar Plexus Center - Yellow
Deals with raw emotions, especially anger and frustration, and intuition or gut feelings. Blockage creates uncontrolled emotions, inability to tap the intuition, tenseness, and a lot of stomach problems. This center is extremely sensitive, especially to the emotions projected by others.
Heart Center - Green
This affects unconditional spiritual love, compassion, empathy, and awareness of the oneness of all things. If blocked, one experiences self-hatred, distrust of others, and/or no understanding of the oneness of all creation. A disruption here creates an imbalance between the cold intellect and the physical drives.
Throat Center - Blue
This center, located near the thyroid gland, is the seat of communication, balance of positive and negative, creativity, and clairaudience (psychic hearing). Creativity of an abstract nature (arts, science, literature, music) is affected by this center. When unbalanced it produces a sharp tongue, closure to the new or unusual, self-righteousness, and a closed mind.
Brow Center - Indigo/Violet
Located in the center of the forehead between and a little above the eyebrows. In its connection with the pituitary gland it affects clear-seeing and psychic perception in all its forms, and is often called the third-eye or transcendent gateway.
Crown Center - White
This is the ultimate center and the last to open. It connects you directly to the God/Goddess and, when open, produces a halo-like effect. This center synchronizes all the others, integrates all polarities, and is all-pervasive in its power. It affects the development of psychic abilities and spiritual attainment. Humans do not operate with this center open constantly.
